A question asked by Arab perfumers, the lost kings of China, the billionaires of modern Japan, and many, many more. Well, do you? Complex, animalistic, sugary, medicinal; Agarwood has many faces, but only one soul, infinite top notes, but a base all its own. Whether its followers seek old books, or the bakery whose odors drift past the library itself, they can be found in agarwood, alone, together, everything, everywhere.

Agarwood not only produces some of the most diverse and intriguing chemical compositions in the natural world, with levels and variation of sesquiterpene compositions rarely seen, and rare and exotic aroma compounds ( like the phenylethyl chromones in the most expensive material ) that may even affect dopamine levels in vivo via. smoke exposure, but a range, even across single species that would make even Cannabis and Mango applaud.

Its popularity across the world is legendary, men have fought wars and died for it, fortunes built and squandered, and it makes sense - it is the most expensive natural material subject to consumption in the world. When considering extraction, it also produces the most expensive natural material period outside of diamond. Some examples reach $2000 a gram and oils ( historically measured in grams as well ) extracted from comparable materials reaching over $10,000 a gram - reaching the range of diamonds, where one carat is equal to 0.2 grams. That's an essential oil, that is the price of a diamond. Needless to say, the cost of "heaven" can be rather prohibitive. We have done our best to create an affordable kit that still covers the complexity and glamour of agarwood, without going outside of our ethical standards. Though we do not know the history of older pieces, we can track what we support today!

The "Heaven" expansion kit provides 5 or 10 different samples, representing various species - such as Aquilaria crassna, Aquilaria malaccensis, and Aquilaria hirta, from across time and the agarwood producing world - including: Vietnam, Indonesia, China, Pacific Islands, and more. The notes and scent of the kit may range from melon to medical offices, warm vanilla to the cold seas, and much more. "Heaven" includes very high quality, authentic, unadulterated materials, as well as a sleeve of smokeless coals, a dish, a mica sheet to reduce heat and create indirect contact, and a few tools to help you along the way. No isolates in this kit ( though we do suggest comparing it to Sandalwood, one of the only materials it shares any compositional similarities with.

PSC Suggestion ( KN ): There is no way to sell someone on the idea of agarwood, they just have to have interest. It is expensive, prohibitive, and requires incredible work to even get into the United States - whether that's raw material or oils. However, if this topic interests you, there is true interest to be found in this kit. As an "ouddict" myself, I would purchase this kit, even if just for a good deal on a diverse amount of daily burns... with some special occassions mixed in, of course. Much of this kit, including the supplement is from my personal collection, and things that I burn often myself!
